A collaborative PBSA development for UAL, Gardens House comprises 264 student rooms thoughtfully designed for community-oriented living in the heart of Camberwell
Gardens House provides purpose-built accommodation for 264 UAL students, including 252 en-suite bedrooms and 12 self-contained studios. Designed to support creative student life, the development features cluster flats with shared kitchens—ideal for social living, collaboration, and independent study.
The building includes a central landscaped courtyard, designed as a communal space for students to relax, interact, and exhibit work. Additional features include dedicated study areas, a triple-height basement lecture theatre, and a basement energy centre, all carefully integrated with the adjacent academic buildings on Peckham Road.
Located less than a minute’s walk from Camberwell College of Arts, Gardens House is surrounded by a lively neighbourhood of cafés, galleries, and cinemas, and offers excellent transport links to UAL’s wider network of campuses across London.
A collaborative project between Hollybrook and University of the Arts London, Gardens House continues to play a key role in enriching the student experience through thoughtful design and functional, community-oriented living.
