Heritage-Led Conversion of Bermondsey Town Hall into 41 New Homes

Hollybrook’s transformation of the former Bermondsey Town Hall delivered 41 luxury apartments within a striking Grade II listed building. Originally constructed between 1928 and 1930, the building was sensitively restored to preserve its architectural character, including its triple-height foyer, decorative brick façades, and original internal features, while introducing high-spec contemporary interiors.

Now known as the Old Town Hall Apartments, the scheme blends heritage with modern convenience, offering residents elegant living spaces, concierge services, and access to a vibrant local community.

The project was recognised with multiple awards, including “Refurbishment of the Year” and “Best Conversion” at the London Evening Standard New Homes Awards, as well as a Premier Guarantee Excellence Award, a testament to its exceptional build quality and sensitive restoration approach.

Located on Spa Road, just minutes from Bermondsey Station and close to London Bridge, the development enjoys outstanding connectivity and is surrounded by some of London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods, including Bermondsey Street, Maltby Street Market, and the South Bank.
