This cutting-edge project for the University of the Arts London (UAL) on the former Whitten Timber site in Peckham, offers exceptional student accommodation and postgraduate workspace, further enhancing Peckham’s reputation as a vibrant, creative hub.
The development comprises 393 student rooms, including 343 bedrooms and 50 studio units, alongside outstanding communal facilities such as a cinema room, games room and common rooms. Situated on a highly accessible site bordered by the Surrey Canal Walk park and just a short stroll from Peckham Rye station, this purpose-built accommodation provides students with a unique blend of modern convenience and tranquil surroundings.
The project incorporated modern methods of construction, such as fully insulated cladding with brick-faced panels and prefabricated bathroom pods, ensuring sustainable and efficient building practices.
